LCS Principal Pastor Thomas Gates tom@logannazarene.com  LCS Assistant Principal Mrs. Jamie Hanning jhanning@loganchristianschool.com  Jamie has over 20 years of experience, which includes office clerical, accounting, data processing, Sunday school teacher, VBS teacher, and secretary. Jamie has an Associate’s degree in Christian Ministry and is currently obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Leadership and Ministry at Ohio Christian University . Jamie is the wife of Keith Hanning. They have 2 adult daughters. Their oldest is Lacie age 25 and she is married to Brandon Porter. Their youngest daughter is Janel, age 22. Jamie also has a grandson, Wyatt Porter, age 4. Jamie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, ministry work, baking, and reading. Fourth and Fifth, Mrs. JoAnne Arnold jarnold@loganchristianschool.com  JoAnne first became interested in working with children when she was twelve years old and began babysitting for a neighbor. By the time she was a junior in high school, she was working with the kindergarten classes several hours a day, and knew she wanted to be a teacher. JoAnne graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. She has over 24 years of teaching experience, over 9 years of which have been here at Logan Christian School. She was the director a preschool at one time, and has lived in Iowa, Massachusetts, and Ohio. JoAnne is the wife of Reverend Brian Arnold, and they have three children. The Arnold Family pastors the Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoys gardening, vacationing in warm places, and quilting. Mrs. Arnold has been blessed with the ability to be organized and flexible, as well as the love and patience to work with young children. She thanks God everyday for the ability to work in a Christian school and teach children about God. Second and Third Grades, Mrs. Sherri Simons ssimons@loganchristianschool.com  Sherri has over 14 years of teaching experience both as a home schooling mom and as a teacher at LCS. She graduated from Rio Grande College with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications with emphasis on public relations. Sherri is the wife of Bruce Simons and they have been blessed with four daughters, Taylor, Brooke, Bailey, and Paige. Some of her pastimes include hunting, camping, and listening to contemporary Christian music.The Simons family attends the Logan Church of the Nazarene where Sherri has directed and co-directed Vacation Bible School for over 13 years. She currently assists with children's ministries. Mrs. Simons's strengths as a teacher are both her energy and enthusiasm. In her classroom, Mrs. Simon's students are learning to become more responsible and organized. Each day, students earn points for arriving on time, having homework completed, keeping neat and organized desks, participating in class, etc. Students also earn bonus points for their good deeds and generosity shown at school. Every two weeks they go to the "classroom store" and redeem their points. Mrs. Simons's favorite part of working in a Christian school environment is the opportunity to share Jesus all day long, and to apply what God tells us in Scripture to everything we do. Kindergarten and First Grade, Mrs. Linda Baughman lbaughman@loganchristianschool.com  Linda is the wife of Mike Baughman, and has two adult children, Dameon and Samantha. She graduated from Sheridan High School and has attended classes at Hocking College. She has over 14 years of experience in education and has been teaching kindergarten at Logan Christian School since 1999. The Baughman family attends the Ebenezer Baptist Church. Linda enjoys listening to gospel music, gardening,and playing Yahtzee. She also writes music! Her favorite part of being a Christian school teacher is having the freedom to share the love of God in a loving environment. Preschool, Mrs. Kelley Doyle kdoyle@loganchristianschool.com  Kelley holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ohio University and has over 20 years experience working with children in church and school settings. She has worked as a Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher, been a member of the VBS Planning Committee, a teacher’s aide and classroom volunteer. Kelley is currently serving as a Children’s Church Teacher at Antioch Alliance Church and she is also the Operation Christmas Child Relay Center Coordinator for Hocking County. Kelley is married to Steve Doyle and they have 2 sons. Gavin is 20 years old and attends DeVry University. Justin is 15 years old and attends Logan High School where he plays soccer and pole vaults on the track team. The family attends Antioch Alliance Church in Logan. Personally, Kelley enjoys spending time with her family, watching her son play sports, reading, listening to Contemporary Christian Music, and any time that she can spend at the ocean. Secretary/Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Dani Gray lcs@logannazarene.com  Dani has worked with children or as a secretary for over 3 years combined. She graduated from Pickerington High school and has attended classes at Central Ohio Technical College. She is married to Rev. Jeff Gray and together they have two children, Joel and Halle, who both attend Logan Christian School. The Grays attend Logan Church of the Nazarene where her husband is the Worship and Administration Pastor. Dani has been involved in children's ministries at church for the last 9 years where she has directed Vacation Bible School, taught Sunday School, directed the nursery, directed numerous Christmas programs, as well as coordinated yearly events. Some of the things she enjoys are reading, singing, spending time with friends and family, and going to the beach. Dani feels so blessed to be a part of this close-knit family here at Logan Christian School where Jesus' light can shine all the time. |
